| IGF-2

Insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF-2) is one of three protein hormones that share structural similarity to insulin. The canonical isoform of IGF-2 preproprotein (18 amino acids) includes a signal peptide (amino acids 1-24) and a propeptide (amino acids 92-18). Proteolytic processing removes the signal peptide and the propeptide to generate the mature hormone .
